Connection Impacts September 12, 13, 19, and 20
Due to ongoing construction, CTrail Shore Line East connections will be impacted on the following dates: Saturday, September 12; Sunday, September 13; Saturday, September 19; and Sunday, September 20. During this time, customers should be aware of the following:
- Amtrak and Metro-North Railroad service to and from New York will be heavily altered, including several Amtrak cancellations due to the WALK Bridge construction in South Norwalk.
- New Haven Line service will operate on a modified schedule, including significantly limited travel options between New Haven and Stamford.
- Expect significantly reduced capacity and potential crowding, with approximately 55% fewer seats available than normal. Customers traveling to and from New York City are encouraged to use the high-capacity parking garages at Stamford and South Norwalk to ride the more frequent trains between those stations.
