Updates on What's Going on at CTrail Shore Line East



Winter Storm Update: Shore Line East Service Resumes Mid-Morning Tuesday, February 24


CTrail Shore Line East service will resume mid-morning on Tuesday, February 24. Operations are running on this delayed start due to residual impacts and clean-up from the winter storm.

First Scheduled Departures

  • Eastbound (to Old Saybrook): The first train will be CTrail 1610 departing New Haven at 9:50 am.
  • Westbound (to New Haven): The first train will be CTrail 1667 departing New London at 11:18 am.

This remains a fluid situation, and service levels may continue to change as conditions evolve. Please check the News and Alerts section on our homepage for the most up-to-date information before departing for the station.

To ensure a safe and smooth journey as operations resume, we strongly encourage all customers to take the following precautions during their travels:

  • Monitor our website or service alerts for updates.
  • Allow extra travel time due to the potential weather conditions.
  • Exercise caution when on platforms, staircases, and when entering or exiting trains, as surfaces may be slippery.

Additionally, if you have bus or rail connections, we recommend checking with those service providers before traveling to ensure they operate as scheduled.

Winter Weather Alert: Shore Line East Train Cancellations


Due to projected winter weather, CTrail Shore Line East service will be impacted on Sunday, February 22, and Monday, February 23. Please review the cancellation details below before planning your travel.

 

Sunday, February 22
Cancelled Eastbound Trains (to New London):

  • CTrail 3034
  • CTrail 3644
  • CTrail 3652

Cancelled Westbound Trains (to New Haven):

  • CTrail 3655
  • CTrail 3663
  • CTrail 3699

 

Monday, February 23

  • All CTrail Shore Line East trains are cancelled.

 

Tuesday, February 24

  • We will continue to monitor the storm and will determine Tuesday’s service levels once conditions are assessed.
