The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) puts the safety and comfort of our passengers and personnel above all else. Since the start of the COVID-19 outbreak, we've invested in the most comprehensive safety measures in our history - and all the while, continuing to be there for you.
WHAT WE'RE DOING
All trains are sanitized nightly
This includes interior wipe downs of high-contact surfaces using enhanced cleaning and disinfection protocols, recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Station cleaning is greatly enhanced
CDC-recommended cleaning products and methods are used to wipe down frequently used touch points including door handles, escalator handrails, and elevator buttons multiple times each day at our busiest stations including Stamford, Bridgeport, and New Haven.
We provide our employees:
Contactless ticket purchasing is now available
CTrail offers contactless ticketing for a safe, stress-free ticket purchasing experience for CTrail Harford Line, CTrail Shore Line East, and connecting New Haven Line (Metro-North) service.
Contactless ticketing is now available via the CTrail eTix app at the Apple Store and Google Play Store. The CTrail eTix app supports both Apple and Google Pay in addition to major credit/debit card providers.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
Prior to boarding CTrail Hartford Line, CTrail Shore Line East, and connecting New Haven Line (Metro-North) trains, use the CTrail eTix app for contactless ticket purchasing.
Six feet of separation
Practice social distancing while waiting at rail and bus stations and bus stops - and when riding trains and buses. Most larger stations have floor markings installed to assist with social distancing. The CDC recommends a distance of at least six feet from others.
