Updates on What's Going on at CTrail Shore Line East

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is pleased to announce that effective Monday, September 27, 2021, Amtrak will accept (“cross-honor”) CTrail Shore Line East ten-trip tickets and monthly passes for select Amtrak trains, allowing for additional travel options and savings for customers traveling between New London and New Haven. Cross-honoring is effective for the following Amtrak trains via Amtrak’s RideReserve program:

  • Amtrak 93 - arriving in New Haven at 11:54 AM
  • Amtrak 137 - arriving in New Haven at 4:28 PM
  • Amtrak 86 - departing New Haven at 2:10 PM
  • Amtrak 94 - departing New Haven at 7:27 PM

PLEASE NOTE: CTrail Shore Line East passengers that have a valid Shore Line East ten-trip ticket or monthly pass must reserve a seat in advance through Amtrak’s RideReserve program. Passengers must have a confirmed reservation prior to the scheduled stop at the boarding station. If travel plans change, passengers should cancel the reservation and re-book their trip.
